30th Birthday

Though I would post all my the pics taken this past weekend! Well of course most of you know, my 30th bday was Saturday. I cannot believe this was my 30th, my 20's are gone, ummm. Well, my 30's will be the best years yet!! This weekend, Jake and Dad boiled some fresh south Louisiana shrimp, ummmmm, they were so good. Dad bought 50lbs, but we boiled about 12lbs for all of us and had some left over. I have some pics below.

I also posted some pics of the Blue berry picking event. I wanted to post some of these for Mr John and Ms Jean Turnbull. There are plenty more to be picked.... I brought some home for myself and for some friends. I gave my neighbors some, he is a chef, and he cooked a peach/blue berry cobbler right away and gave me some, it was D-elicious!!! Hope you all had a great weekend and thanks for all the Birthday wishes!!!

Our Trip to Six Flags

This past weekend, Jason and I went to Six Flags, my first time. It was fun and I love getting myself all siked up for the rides. I was a little nervous, because I had not been on rides since my passing out problems had developed , so a little skeptical about how my body would react. But, everything was great! I did get a little sick on one ride, Mr. Freeze, it starts off 70 mph and we had just ate about a hour before. We had a great time!

Titan, this was so fast and Jason made us ride in the front, I was scared to death, but had a blast.

Jason navigating our trip with the Six Flags Map, which was hard to understand.

BATMAN - this was a blast...

Mr. Freeze - the one that starts out 0 to 70mph, the ride only lasted 2 minutes, this one kind of made me sick.

Jason wanted to make sure I was tall enough for the Batman...heheheh :)

Trying to take pics, I sometimes miss Jason, he so tall.

If you will notice this pic is full of facts: from bottom of pic - Texas Giant (ride), Titan (ride), Rangers Baseball field, and the New Cowboys Stadium.

Sara's Wedding

Just wanted to post a few pictures from this past weekend. These were taken from her Shower and the Wedding. Sara and Wilson were married at a cottage in Natchitoches, on Cane River and it was beautiful!!These ladies, I have grown up with most of my life, Sara and I since toddlers, Jerianne came in picture 3rd grade and Melissa in high school. Of course our adult life has separated some of us, but we still try to do our best to see each other when we can and pick up where we left off. Sara, now lives in Atlanta, GA, the others live back home, in and around Alexandria and of course we all know where I live. We had a great time, just as silly as we use to be and lovin every minute!

Garden Pictures

Thought you guys might want to see some new pictures of the garden, just a few. With all this rain that we have been having all my flowers and plants are growing so fast. I bought some bamboo stakes for the tomatoe plants and the two pepper plants, we have been having a lot of crazy weather "wind", so decided to stake everything. Below are just a few pics, I will be adding new pics later on.

I noticed the other day that my leaves on the Sunflower plants were starting to go missing!! Umm! Knock on some serious wood, bugs have not touched my tomatoe or pepper plants, however I may not see what color the Sunflower plants make bec something is eatting them up. So, I had some insect -0-soap (something like that) well, next day, mores leaves on the Sunflowers where missing. Off to Walmart I went to buy some Sevin-Dust, I remember dad dusting everything under-the- sun when I was growing up, so I bought some, dusted the sunflowers and the garden. Hopefully, now we may see some organge/red Sunflowers, will keep you posted. Until then, Love you all!
