Vacation 2009 - Oklahoma

Just thought I would post some of our Vaction 2009 pitures. We left Sunday morning after church, drove up 71 north to Arkansas through Ida, Texarkana, De Queen and on to Broken Bow, Oklahoma. It was a nice ride, the weather was cool (unlike the last few days here in Bosseir). Broken Bow is beautiful, rolling hills, small hill like moutains and the cabin was awesome! Our cabin "Hickernut" was really close to Broken Bow lake, we were in the Beaver Bend area. I cannot wait to go back sometime. Jason and I just relaxed and took it easy.

Monday we were off to the Turnbulls, we traveled up through Antler, McAlester, and Henryetta, Oklahoma. We then took interstate 40 towards Shawnee, we went through Prague, Ok, that is where Jason's dad grew up on a Diary Farm, Jason showed me the house place and the land. It was all very pretty and I love hearing about history! We arrived Monday afternoon and then began a relaxing week with Jean and John Turnbull. Jason and I fished, relaxed, visited friends and ate and ate soooo much. I think I gained 5 pounds, I even ran a few days. Oh, those Oklahoma hills, wow not use to running up hills...I love going to the Turnbull's, it is so relaxing and layed back. Thought you all would like to see some of our pictures. Love you all and hope to see you soon! Our Cabin, you should call, it's awesome!

Traveling and I am in charge of the Map, that is scarey!
Clancey went fishing with us, except we could not fish, he chased our corks and just swam all over the pond while we tried to fish. Clancey and fishing do not mix!

Allie's Bachlorette Party!

Hello to all! Just wanted to post a few pics from this past weekends adventure of Allie's Bachlorette party! We first all met up and was escorted by the Fabulous LSU Limo, waaahooo! It is awesme, with tiger print carpet shown in the pic below. Then we went to pick up Allie, headed to Carrabba's her favorite place to eat and off to do whatever she wanted to do, it was her night. We had fun, but I realized that I was getting old to be out all night parting out on the town. Allie's wedding will be Aug 29th (in which this will be my 8th wedding to be a Brides maid, :), and I'm sure I will have more to post later. Allie is a friend of mine that was my co-worker at Horseshoe, we not only was she my co-worker but we became friends quickly. She has a little to do with the "setting up of Jason and I", of course God was the master of that event! She will be getting married on Saturday and her groom "Chris" will be leaving for war again around the first of the year. Hope all is well and will be posting pictures soon of wedding.

Jason and I are going on Vacation after the wedding, headed to Broken Bow, Oklahoma and then off the stay with the Turnbulls for the week. I am ready for no pagers, no VRI, no texts from deaf individuals, no phone calls, no work!!! I cannot wait!

July 4th Weekend

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! I'm sure everyone ate lots of food and soked up the sun, I did!!! Jason had to fly to New Orleans, so I stayed home this weekend. I had to catch up on the online class work and needed much rest from the previous week. On Friday, Allie texted me and asked me to come out with them on Lake Bisteaux, at first with all the home work and DAC work, I said no, then I desided "yes I will go". I had loads of fun, I didn't tackle the wakeboarding but, tackled the tubbing. It was fun, until Chris desided to through me across the lake like a rock skipping across the water. At that point, I retired from tubbing. Saturday night, I went with Allie and Chris on their boat to watch the Shreveport/Bossier Fireworks. It was nice to just sit back and relax and watch the fireworks. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Flower bed and the New Lawn mower!

I have not posted in while, not much really going on. I have been really busy at the Deaf Action Center, interpreting all day many days, and I'm also taking a on-line study class to prepare for my Written Knowledge portion for my certification. The class is really intense, 2 to 4 hrs a day or night, researching and answering questions. So not a lot of time to do much! Well, recently my lawn mower "blew up" broke and could not get it to start. So, I had to go buy a new one, just want I wanted to spend my money on. I bought it from Sears, a Craftsman. It's really nice, I didn't have enough money to buy a self propelled, but this one is really nice ( u can c below). I have also added some recent pics of my flowers and sunflowers (the sun is hard on my flowers)Hope everyone is enjoying their HOT summer. Last night, here in Bossier City, it was a 100 degrees at 8pm, I cannot believe it has been so hot! Hope you all have a great week, love you all and talk to you soon!

Birthday Dinner

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Just wanted to post some recent pictures from this past weekend. Jason took me to Bob's Steak and Chop House, a very Nice Steak house in Ft Worth for my birthday. It was very good, I had a T-Bone Steak, ummm good, they had this cool cooked whole carrot and baked potatoe, ummm. Pops and Ms. Jean it was very good, but Cattleman's T-Bone is still #1. Well, hope you all are having a great week.
